Early Release - Friday, May 17th, 2019 at 1:30 pm
Please check your child's "Agenda" daily. This is where any important information will be communicated. Please place envelopes or plastic bags with money or checks enclosed in the front clear plastic pocket of their "Agenda" for lunch purchase, field trips or fundraiser money. Please clearly label these with your child's name, my name and the reason you are sending in this money (for example: Lunch Money Deposit). Also, please use this clear plastic pocket for any important information like notes about early pick-up or different transportation home.
Please make sure your child has a pair of gym shoes that can be left at school. We have gym first thing in the morning every single day. Also, please make sure your child has Velcro shoes if they are unable to tie shoes.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
Please make sure to send a snack in for your child every day. Please make sure the snack is peanut/tree nut free. Do not send in any kind of juice for snack. It is not allowed to be drunk in the classroom.
Warning!
Food Allergy!
Important Information!
When sending in snacks for your child, please do NOT send in any food with peanuts and/or tree nuts in it. We have students that are highly allergic to these items. Fruits, vegetables, applesauce, and dairy products (not containing any traces of nuts) are usually considered a “safe snack” to send in for your child to consume in our classroom. Please send all snacks in original packaging. Here is a link of “safe snacks” that are welcome in our classroom. https://snacksafely.com/snacklist-20170816.pdf Also, for this reason, please do not send in any food items as treats for your child’s birthday. Instead, you may send in goody bags, pencils, erasers, stickers, etc.
Thank you so much for your help and understanding in this matter.

Important Information
When sending in money for any reason; please send it in a sealed envelope or plastic baggie with your child's name, my name, and what the money is for on it. Please place this in the front, clear pocket in your child's agenda. Please send in only the exact amount of money for anything like field trips, lunch deposit or purchasing any other items or activities. I do not have change nor does the office. I will be sending back any money that just comes to me in a folder or agenda without any information provided as to why it is in your child's folder. I will not make any assumptions as to why you are sending in this money. I will also send back any money that comes to me for a specific activity that is not the exact amount.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
If you have not done so already, please send in a change of clothes for your child. You never know what can happen during the school day! Spills can be made, water can be sat in or splashed through, or mud can be run in at recess. Please send the extra change of clothes in a plastic bag labeled with your child's name on it. This will be left in a bin at the bottom of their cubbie. Please make sure these are clothes your child can wear all year no matter the weather.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
Your child should be reading every night!
Your student should be reading 20 minutes every night to you!
Please make sure your child is getting the reading practice they need to become stronger readers and are ready for second grade.
Thank you for your support and partnership in the education of your child!
